Don Quijote de la Mancha
Are we being true to self, or being blindly faithful? Inspired by Don Quijote de La Mancha, this eponymous work reflects on the struggle to remain authentic within conformity, tracing the fine line between conviction and self-destruction.
Starting in a place where our values are labeled impractical, this is a love song, and, simultaneously, a question mark for our self-beliefs.
The very core of this is a question: How do we keep sane?
When we are doing what conformity neglects, we try to push through, and as we do so, we are walking on thin ice. We push ourselves and our ideal imagery with passion, with dignity, with self-belief, but these might as well cause self-destruction if we are merely blindly faithful.
